Why should I book an experience at WingX?

Booking an activity offers you customized and unique traveling experiences. With the help of a local, you gain insider access with customized tours, services and adventures tailored to your interests and needs.


Can the WingX team check availability for me?

Our hosts upload their own availability and rates (see their profile pages). To view the availability of each offer, view the calendar.

Can I call or email the host directly?

To ensure both parties are protected, all communications should be made via our WingX message system.

How will clients contact me?

To ensure both parties are protected we request all communications to be made via our message system. Clients will contact you through our messaging system.

Responding an email

I have received an email notification that I have a new message, how do I respond?

Do not respond to the email notification, such action will not reach the recipient.

To read and respond to the message, log in to your account and click on the inbox tab. In your inbox, you will see all your received messages. To respond, click on the ‚reply’ button next to the message you wish to respond to.

Can I call the client that sent me a message?

Registration at WingX

Must I register to book a host and a service?

Yes, and it is free. To book a service, you will be asked either to register or sign into your account.

Why must a user register to book an experience?

We require users to register because we want to be sure that our hosts receive serious inquiries from real people. If you do not wish to register, you can visit the offers on our application or website as ‚Anonymous’. For a booking request, you must register.

Why should I register as a host?

The WingX marketplace, website, and application offers the advanced booking service for qualified, local guides and travel-related service providers worldwide. You can use our WingX application to list your services, upload your photos, availability and payment details. We offer 100 percent online booking functions and more - making it easy for you to generate an extra income.

How much does it cost to register as a host?

Registration of our services is free of charge. There are no set-up fees for hosts.

I have just registered as a host, what do I do next?

You will need to create a profile page introducing your qualifications, your tours, and rates. Without loading rates and at least one profile picture, your guiding services will not be available for public viewing.

I have registered as a host, but I can’t find my listing on the site. How come?

For your account and profile page to become active for clients to find and book your services on the website, you will require a complete profile page.

Payments and fees - clients

Can I pay in other currencies?

Our hosts upload their own service rates, and the currency they wish to accept payments in.

Why should I submit my payment through your system?

Our online payment system is more secure than handling the transaction on your own. WingX uses the internationally recognized and secure PayPal system to process all credit card transactions.
Please do not send payments directly to the host from outside the site or mobile app. We can only provide customer support to bookings made through our system. Non-compliant user accounts may be suspended or removed.

Can I give the guide my credit card details?

For security purposes, all payments should be submitted only through our online payment system. WingX uses the internationally recognized and secure PayPal system to process all credit card transactions.

Is there a booking fee?

There is no booking fee. Using WingX is 100 percent free.

What payment methods are available?

All major credit cards and PayPal are accepted.

My credit card is not accepted, what should I do?

Our credit/debit card bookings are secure and processed through PayPal. 
Please check the following and try your transaction again:
  • insufficient funds to cover the transaction being booked
  • may not have filled out all the information fields requested
If you continue to experience difficulties, please copy the error message and paste it into your message on the ‚contact us’ page.

Payments and fees - hosts

How is the commission calculated?

WingX charges a commission fee for each booking and transaction carried out over our marketplace. The commission is 10 percent of the total cost of your service rate which is rounded up to the nearest amount.

How do I get paid for my services?

You get paid via your PayPal account within five working days after the service has been provided.

Can I choose my own service rate?

Yes. It is up to you to decide on your rate.

Why should clients pay through your system?

Our online payment system is more secure than handling the transaction on your own. WingX uses the internationally recognized and secure PayPal system to process all credit card transactions.

Our booking system will automatically up-date booking date(s) and time(s) to your availability calendar to prevent booking conflicts. Full confirmation details will be sent to you.

We can only provide customer support to those bookings made through our system. Non-compliant user accounts may be suspended or removed.

Bookings and cancellations

How will I know if I have a booking?

You will receive a booking confirmation (with the booking details) via our messaging system and your personal email account.

Can I cancel or amend a booking?

Please make cancellations more than 48 hours before the commencement of the tour or service. The host has accepted your booking and turned down other opportunities. Please keep in mind that when you do not honor the booking, you are penalizing the guide. As a common courtesy, we ask that you cancel with as much notice as possible to guides.

What are the costs of cancellation or amending?

In the event of cancellation by the customer, WingX will charge you an administration fee of 20 euro.

To amend the booking (e.g. change the date or time), the host can agree with you on a new time and date after the booking has been confirmed.

What if the host cancels a booking?

If the host fails to appear on the date, time and venue outlined on your confirmation, you must inform us immediately (within 48 hours). If your credit card has already been charged, WingX will stop the payment to the host and will give you a full refund. You can review the host accordingly.

If the client wishes to accept a new time or date, the host can agree on a new time and date after the booking has been confirmed.

Do I need to reconfirm my booking before arrival?

We suggest contacting your host to confirm the date, time, meeting point and any other details.

Client reviews

Where do client reviews and ratings come from?

Bookings made through our application will trigger a request for a review and rating from the client(s). When they enter in their review and rating online it will automatically appear on your profile page and consequently affect your ranking on the listing page.

Can I remove bad client reviews?

All reviews will be posted on your profile page. Client reviews cannot be removed unless it is deemed offensive and does not adhere to our Acceptable Use Policy.

How are hosts ranked?

Client experience is very important, and that is why we have created a ranking system based on client ratings and reviews. Higher rated services will have a higher rank on the listings.


How do I upload a profile picture?

  • log in to your account and on the left side of your profile page
  • click ‚Add profile photo’ 
  • select the photo you wish to upload
  • click ‚Save’
  • You can upload numerous pictures.

Profile picture tips

  • choose a clear and presentable picture of yourself
  • upload pictures of your tours, experiences and happy moments
  • select pictures that represent your destination (i.e. landmarks and touristic attractions)

What should I write in my description?

Your description on your profile page should include details of your guiding style, specialty, and qualifications. It will help travelers to have a better understanding of who you are, and what your services will be like.
